MDI Mentorship Program
The Full Story
The MDI Mentorship Program unites our island's year-round students with seasoned professionals from the summer community to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of MDI business owners and leaders.

October Mentor Meeting with MDI High 9th Graders
The panel featured professionals from housing trades (interior design, real estate, gardening, building) who discussed career opportunities that allow students to remain on the Island. A survey determined that 90% of students currently plan to leave after graduation. The panel demonstrated that local businesses can be both financially rewarding and personally fulfilling.
Summer Shadow Days
Mentors offer students the chance to shadow for a full day (or half a day) in a field that interests the student. Transportation may be available.
